Whirlpool Washer Sounds Like a Jet Engine

I got a Whirlpool WTW7120HC0 washer that is very loud on the spin cycle. I’m used to like a banging or clunking sound if it’s overloaded and gets out of balance but this happens on every load of laundry and occurs even if balanced.

The faster it spins, the louder it gets. This machine is approximately 4 years old.

Hi @appliancer28755

Here's the tech sheet for the washer that may help to isolate where the problem is.

Run the Activating Service tests modes as described by the sheet on p.2 and check if any F7 error codes are shown.

If there are, on p.9→p.10 it shows the possible causes/checks for each of the individual E codes associated with an F7 code.

If you find the problem and there's a faulty part that needs replacing, here's the parts list that is useful.

Locate the wanted part in the list and note the manufacturer's part number that is shown with it. Search online for the part number only, to find suppliers that suit you best.

Sometimes if you're lucky, if you search on YouTube for (insert wanted part number) replacement, you might find videos on how to remove/replace the part.
