The Nintendo 3DS XL 2015, marketed as the New Nintendo 3DS XL, was released October 11, 2014 in Japan and February 13, 2015 in North America.

Is it possible to "re-friction" a friction fit ZIF connector?

I was having that weird problem with my N3DSXL where it would turn on, blue light, then turn off right after. Thought I'd go in and troubleshoot the problem. I only realized until after scrolling through a quick tutorial that I lifted up the flaps on the friction fit ZIF connectors, breaking them. A brand-new mother board is way out of my budget currently, so I was wondering if it is possible to fix the friction fit ZIF connectors I broke.

Hi!

You can replace them, but it will be very difficult. You do need to micro solder to get it fixed.

You can buy them on AliExpress I believe.

If you do need links, let me know!
