I'm going to venture a guess your car uses a key fob and with the small emergency key used to open doors. If your key fob battery is dead you can try a few things to start it.
Hold the fob next to the start/ stop button and try to start the car. Some vehicles use a small RFID in the fob as an emergency back-up for starting the car.
The fob must be very close to the receiver on the car for this to work; while that is usually near the start button there is no standard for placement so you may need to search for location on your car.
Try replacing the battery in the fob, most take a 2032 button cell battery. Some remotes retain programming between battery swaps, some must be reprogrammed; this need can change between years of a car model.
Finally if you have the owners manual and have not read it, take a look in the index at the back for which parts mention fobs or keys. Many times you can find basic information that helps with issues like this.
Good luck.

Hi @kisulefredrick
Most cars are started by inserting the ignition key into the ignition key lock located on the steering column and then turning the key in the lock to start the engine.
Are you trying to start the engine remotely, using a fob key outside of the car?
