2.0GHz, 2.3GHz, or 2.6GHz quad-core Intel Core i7 processor (Turbo Boost up to 3.8GHz) with 6MB shared L3 cache.

Are the Wifi-cables replacable? If yes, how?

I accidentally squeezed one of the cables under a screw while working on the display hinges (inside the clutch cover). Wifi still works fine, but the cable-connection seems to be loose, since it sometimes drops down to 802.11n.

Are the Wifi-cables replacable? If yes, how?

Thanks!

You can buy a pre connected COAX tail and replace the wire back to the given antenna which is part of the lid. Or you can replace the full antenna assembly.

Follow this guide MacBook Pro 15" Retina Display Late 2013 Display Assembly Replacement once the lid is off you can slide off the black cover it's keyed sliding it to the side allows the cover to pass the pins into a grove allowing you to left the cover off, underneath is the antenna unit. At which point you can either replace the one COAX line or the full assembly.

Thanks! How do I replace it? Do I have to open the screen itself (not just removing the display from the keyboard part)? I don‘t think I am qualified to do that… Also I can‘t solder…

And do I need the complete assembly including the screen cable by the hinge on the other side?

@carl_jfischer - The Blue URL I posted is the steps needed to take the display assembly off so you can then slide the black plastic piece off to expose the antenna unit. It does sound like this is a bit much for you. Do you have a friend or an independent shop that can help you?

@Dan I can remove the clutch cover - thats no problem (it happened while working on the screws under it). But do I have to take the display itself apart or solder?

(I mean going beyond step 5 in this guide MacBook Pro Retina Display Teardown)

@carl_jfischer - You shouldn’t need to.

Which is why I was aiming you to just replace the single COAX tail. Even replacing the antenna assembly can be done without having to take the LCD out to route the camera line. Here we would just desolder the antenna tails and re thread them in the hinge.

@danj So in essence just soldering the new COAX-wire onto the old one?

It’s tricky as they are wrapped into the hinge with the camera cable. If you can pull out just the one cable then maybe, but that requires desoldering it from the antenna bar first, which if not done properly can cause more damage.

Patching the cable might be easier, or if the signal core isn’t damaged, just leave it.

I've done quite a few and it's not that hard to thread a single wire through the hinge. Buying a complete assembly would be easier as the wires are already wired through. The only rub is finding the part as parts for this series is getting scarce. I prefer the COAX tail approach.

Your in luck here's the assembly Macbook Pro 15" Hinge - Right Antenna/iSight Cable (L13-15)
