Repair guides and disassembly information for Apple's 6th generation 12.9" iPad Pro. Released October 18, 2022.

Device is unresponsive to touch

I was just casually watching a video then suddenly it was skipped like someone was tapping forward. I switched it off and turned it back on, suddenly my iPad won’t register my taps and swipes. (I haven’t dropped, bent, scratched, bumped, squeezed my iPad pro 12.9” M2 6th generation) I tried all the troubleshooting like force restart, recovery mode to update and recovery mode to hard reset. How can I resolve this issue? It’s so frustrating because my warranty just expired last month.

I would recommend attempting to or having a repair shop attempt to re-seat the ribbon connection cable for the screen. There is always the possibility that it came un-seated during a fall or hitting the bed to hard as you drop it onto the bed, something random like that and it just needs to be pushed back in all the way. If that does not work, you may need a screen replacement. Sucks to hear but sometimes there are just faulty screens and they can give out at anytime. Hope it all works out for you and hopefully its just the cheaper option of re-seating the ribbon cable.
