The Nintendo 3DS XL 2015, marketed as the New Nintendo 3DS XL, was released October 11, 2014 in Japan and February 13, 2015 in North America.

What does this mean, for my top screen?

The image above is the backside of my topscreen. The mess on it is the path of the camera ribbon cable. My topscreen's own ribbon cable doesn't seem to be damaged(water damage), but the screen itself will not turn on😭.

Little question you have light that comes from the top screen?

because if the answer is no the backlight is dead

Or not have a good connection since the 2ds nintendo likes to play and turn them into a puzzle, so be careful to check if the cable is plugged in the right side

I don't have even the littlest bit of light, it's pitch black. How do I fix a backlight???

@lwest81000 When I ask if the screen makes light, it is not really with the naked eye that we see this, but with a video recording through a phone, but if the screen does not really make light, I check the connection ports, I would clean them several times and re-weld the legs.

because unfortunately no backlight = screen change to my knowledge the backlight of the screen of the new 3ds xl is link to the screen, so if the backlight don't work = screen replace. But I already had a very good surprise when cleaning the port for the tenth time .

Ps: In my memory it's the port P6 that makes the connection between the backlight of the top screen and the motherboard

@nothing666 okay, idk what I did when I was putting it back together...but the top screen works now😂 Don't know how that happened, but it's very much lit up now.

@lwest81000 as I said, Nintendo loves to turn their consoles into puzzles for repairers, so if you have found the solution to the puzzle, it’s perfect, if you have another problem, you know where to ask for help ;)

Ps: I am really curious to know if this console "not repairable" will be ;)

@nothing666 so, I may have celebrated too early. I took the battery cover off so I could reposition my circle pad. And now it's doing the thing where the blue light comes on for 3 seconds, then turns off with a poping sound :( This thing isn't giving me a break.
