Hi Joshua,
Okay, from your picture it seems like a pretty good bet that you've torn the front sensor cable, referred to in iFixit terminology as this.
iPhone 11 Earpiece Speaker and Sensor Assembly
The good news is that iFixit and other vendors sell the part, but the bad news is you're going to lose Face ID, as that assembly contains the flood illuminator, a part that is paired to the motherboard. That pairing means that only Apple can match that part back up with your logic board and thus restore Face ID. Here's the iFixit guide to that repair.
iPhone 11 Earpiece Speaker and Front Sensor Assembly Replacement - iFixit Repair Guide
To my knowledge, there are only a couple of options for you to restore Face ID. The first one is to go to an Apple store and pay them to replace the display. New screens from Apple come with that earpiece speaker assembly and will re-pair it to your phone as part of the repair procedure.
On newer phones, specifically starting with the iPhone 12, you could use Apple's self repair option to do the screen replacement yourself, but your phone is just one generation too old to be supported, I'm afraid.
The only other possibility I'm aware of would be to use the Repair Assistant that comes with iOS 18. Sorry to say I'm not up to speed on exactly what that can do for you; I strongly suspect if it's going to work that you would have to buy a genuine Apple part for the repair, but as I said, I don't know any of this for a fact.
There are some highly skilled technicians out there who could theoretically transfer the flood illuminator to a new assembly and thus keep your Face ID function working, but I have no idea how you would find someone with that level of expertise nor how much it might cost in the end.
That's about all I can contribute to the conversation, so I'll wish you good luck with your repair and be sure to come on back and let us know how it all turns out; who knows, your experience may well help the next person who comes along with the same problem.

You're going to have to give us more to go on; there are quite a few ribbon cables in an iPhone. Take a look through the parts list under the device page in the upper right box of this page and see if you can locate which cable it is. You could also try going through the teardown guide to see if they show it.
Alternatively you could add a picture to your question so we can see what cable you're talking about.

@dadibrokeit thank you I added a picture it’s one of the ribbons that keep the phone together. One of the ones your supposed to be careful not to break when flipping the display over like a book. Let me know if the picture is good enough. It’s on the right side in the picture. Thanks again
