How to wash a 100% silk pillowcase properly?

Hello everyone,

Some sources (I forgot which) say to use baby shampoo, because silk is made of proteins, which is targeted by regular detergents. And to not soak the garment for more than 2 minutes in liquid. Does anyone know the nitty gritty?

Thanks!

I read the ingredients of the various baby shampoo brands. Even the Sensitive versions have some ingredients that I fear may damage the silk after repeated use, so I just bought some laundry detergent for Wool and Silk. Cheaper as well :)
