not working and not powering up

I have a dell laptop that indicates on power for a few seconds then goes off unless i press power button again. The laptop does not show any other indication except the power button LED. No fan spinning not screen indication nothing works. I have tried resetting RAM CMOS all are in vain. Dell Model E5450
