I need to open the bottom cover

i’m adding a ram stick and i need to open the bottom cover. how do i do this?

Undo the screws and use a spudger to pry the cover apart.

"The bottom panel is held in place with ten screws: four long screws at the back of the panel, two long screws in the middle, and four short screws at the front. The gap between the bottom panel and the chassis sides is very narrow, so I had to grab a small flathead screwdriver to pry the panel off."

@jendelui Just adding that one needs to be careful when prying covers off that you don't damage components just inside the case. This is a common problem that people have. The sludger or screw driver ( I use old credit cards) goes in too far and damaged a component.

@orion86803 use the Lenovo LOQ 15ARP9 Hardware Maintenance Manual To work on the memory module, check page 38 of that manual.

Make sure the following FRUs (or CRUs) have been removed. “Remove the lower case” on page 30 “Remove the DIMM shielding” on page 38
