How to fix ION MUSTANG STEREO WIRELESS SPEAKER?
Hello,
I would like to replace the micro-USB charging port on the portable ION MUSTANG STEREO WIRELESS SPEAKER but I can't figure out how to disassemble and open the device. Any clue?
Thanks

Try reviewing the sidebar questions for clues on hidden screws. Stick-on labeling may hide a screw or more; run a fingernail over the label and feel for a hole. Rubber feet are also where screws are hidden. Carefully remove one and see if a screw is there. The knobs should be removable and hide screws. One Ion model has screws behind the grille, removed to see mounting screws.

I have looked for hidden screws behind the labeling and the 4 rubber feet but nothing. I tried to remove the knobs, but they don't come off. And it doesn't look like the grille can be removed. This thing is an enigma.

Assembled from parts, without close upsnapshots my guess is knobs are removable (pressed on) and radio halves may be snapped together without requiring assembly screws. Snap together parts may be glued too, rendering this non serviceable after the warranty expires.
An example of glued parts; ac to dc low voltage adapters used in many electronics (cell phone chargers, laptop power supply, tablet charger, portable battery banks, etc) are assembled with two halves glued together because they are not repairable when they fail. I've repaired a few over the years by smacking them with a mallet or using a vise to distort and crack open cases like a nut crcacker. Tv remotes are glued halves and opened using the nut cracker technique. I don't know if this radio has glued front and rear halves. Once attempts are made to disassemble something, it's up to the diyer to accept damage during disassembly and whether it affects repairs.
