Ge crt 17T025 No display but sound

Go this old 1957 ge tv set with sound but no picture I also touched the screen and felt no static emit from the screen what do you think any idea could help Jimmy Pelekos

Initially I would check the capacitors in the high voltage circuit associated with the CRT tube.

Given the age of the TV they may have deteriorated some what.

The CRT tube operates a high voltage so be careful that you don't touch the tube connectors as it is one big capacitor ;-)

Here's a guide that may help as it shows the valve layout of your type of TV and more importantly the schematics which have the voltage test point values shown on it - see MM Chassis details on p.71→p.72 (of 176 pdf)

@jayeff I look in the vents of the h.v rectifier and didn't see the tube in there admit light

Check the V112 circuit i.e. R267=2.2 Ohms, T251 auto transformer 400 Ohm winding.

It could also be the valve itself.

Just curious what you're going to use to test the tuner circuit to get a picture as the TV is a Black and White TV and the tuner is designed for analogue TV signals CH2-13 and nowadays the TV signals are digital? The schematic doesn't show any other input types
