Help Finding a Replacement Touchscreen with GT911 (6-Pin)

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to find a replacement touchscreen panel for my device, but I'm having trouble finding one with the exact pin configuration I need. My current screen uses the Goodix GT911 touchscreen controller, but the FPC flex cable has a different pinout than most standard GT911 panels.

My Current Pin Configuration (6-Pin FPC Cable)

1️⃣ SDA – I2C Data
2️⃣ SCL – I2C Clock
3️⃣ RST – Reset
4️⃣ INT – Interrupt
5️⃣ GND – Ground
6️⃣ VDO – ??? (Not sure if this is power or another signal)

What I Need:

  • A 7-inch capacitive touchscreen that matches this pinout.
  • A supplier or website where I can buy this exact part.
  • If an exact match is unavailable, is there a way to modify another GT911 touch panel to work with my device? (Adapter, rewiring, firmware changes?)

I've searched AliExpress, eBay, and various suppliers, but most GT911 touch panels have a different 6-pin layout. Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Additional Info:

  • My display model: (HX070BSY-APA8212)
  • The original touchscreen's flex cable width: (Measure if possible)
  • The device it's used in: (Tablet, industrial screen, Raspberry Pi project, etc.)

Thanks in advance for any help! 🙏

Hi @nadinechames ,

Was the original (now faulty) touchscreen, the touchscreen that was installed on the device?

If it was the original, what is the make and model number of the device?

Hi, thank you for your reply.

Yes it's the original.

Make: Kinefinity Model: KineMon 7u2

there's literally no info on it and I can't afford to send it to the manufacturer for repairs.

@nadinechames

Is there any information on the touchscreen flex cable at all?

Usually the cable is permanently attached to the touchscreen and not plugged into it.

If there's only one cable going to the display assembly and not two, then it's an integrated assembly i.e. LCD + touchscreen so you can't replace just the touchscreen. You have to replace the complete display

Hi,

Thanks again, I've uploaded a few pics maybe that can help.

@nadinechames

If it is only a touchscreen then perhaps you may be able to get a suitably sized replacement screen, with a 6 pin input and find the datasheet for it and then cut and reconnect the flex cable so that the wires correspond to the desired functions i.e. pin 1 output from controller now matches the wire function of the touchscreen.

Only thing that I could find which may help is the datasheet for the controller.

On p.18 (19 of 25 pdf) it shows the 6 pin interface connection, so perhaps you may be able to just swap things around.
