Screen flickering but it's not the LCD cable

The screen on my mom's Zenbook Asus UX 430U has been flickering and only works in certain positions so I disassembled the laptop and saw that one of the cables were damaged/pinged. When I moved the cable the screen was flickering a lot less, but since it's damaged it is still flickering from time to time. At first I thought this was some LCD cable, but apparently not, and I have no clue what the name of the cable actually is so I don't know what to order. I am also currently away so I am not able to disassemble and check again.

Screenshot from a youtube video of the cable below:

As you can see, it is mounted round the fan. As per the screenshot it's two cables, no idea what either of them does other than that one of them does something with the screen. Any ideas?

Hi @grismannen

Are you using the laptop online e.g. just surfing or watching videos when the screen is flickering?

Does the screen also flicker when you're just looking at the desktop screen?

The cables you're showing in the image you posted are the two WiFi antenna cables going from the WLAN card on the motherboard into the laptop lid where the antennas are located - go to 47 seconds into this screen replacement video to confirm.

If the flickering only occurs when you're viewing online then if the cables aren't securely connected to the WLAN card on the motherboard then it may be that it's causing a signal problem and that's why the screen is behaving as it does

If the flickering also occurs when you're not viewing online but using the laptop for other reasons then it could be that the lvds (video) cable is the problem. At 59 seconds in the video it shows where the lvds (video) cable is connected to the motherboard.

Check the cable connection (both ends - motherboard and LCD panel) to ensure that it is not just a loose connection causing the problem and if the cable is damaged where it passes through the hinge, search online for 14005-02210500 to find suppliers of the cable that suit you best.
