Phone calls fail every 2-3 days
I have a problem with phone calls failing. Happens about every third day. I try to make a phone call, and it immediately fails. Just shows that it failed and asks if I want to try again or cancel. Additional attempts fail. The only fix is to power down and then power up the phone. But 2-3 days later, same problem. Can you help?

I didn't even know that iPhones had a safe mode. I'll give that a try. But if I do, what am I looking for then? If the issue doesn't happen in safe mode, how do I know what the cause was?
Also, for whatever its worth, what I did in the meantime is to set up a shortcut that restarts my iPhone every day at 3am. But if I try the safe mode thing, I'll turn off that shortcut (if shortcuts work in safe mode).

Safe mode means that any 3rd party apps installed on the phone by you won't be loaded i.e. they're disabled, when the phone is turned on after it has been powered off to then enter safe mode.
If the problem doesn't occur then one of them may be the cause of the problem.
The hard part is finding out which one.
You could either block 3rd party apps or uninstall 3rd party apps, one at a time or more if you don't use them that often and then use the phone in normal mode to see if the problem still occurred or not.
If only blocking one or a few at a time then if it still occurs you know that they're not the problem, so either unblock them (or reinstall them) and try blocking (uninstalling) some more.
Once you're satisfied that it doesn't happen and you've got a few blocked you would have to unblock them one at a time to see if it happened or not.
Hopefully you can narrow it down to the one 3rd party app.

OK, that makes sense. I don't know if it's worth all that work. My idea to create a shortcut to restart the machine also failed. At 3am, it asks me if I want to run the shortcut instead of just running it. Most likely, I'll restart the phone every day and keep searching to see if someone else has seen this issue and has a fix.
