Screen darkens after it flashes JVC logo upon switching it on?

@thaboletsela we need to know the exact model number for your TV. It will also help if you can tell us if you still have audio on your TV.

It is possible that this is a backlight issue. JVC does have issue with bad backlight strips. A simple check for that would be to darken the room and turn the TV on. Then use a flashlight and angle the light at the screen on different areas. You might make out some shadows or see a slight grey color. If you can make out a background of some sort, you know it is the backlight that has failed. Replacing that should fix your TV.

If you can't make out anything, it is possible that this is a board error. Since we do not know what model your TV is, we can not tell you how to proceed with further troubleshooting.

It might help if you unplug your TV and remove the back cover. Then visually inspect the boards for any damaged/missing component. Take some well focused pictures of the boards and post those with your Question. That way we can see what you see and hopefully guide you further. Adding images to an existing question
