My steam deck is not charging or turning on.

I bought from a friend who told me it just needed charged and wouldn't cut on due to battery being dead. On further inspection I noticed that when I do plug it up to the charger the led light doesn't cut on and it doesn't make any noises. I've tried using a different charger,box, and wall outlet and still can't get anything out of it. Was wondering if there is a way to check the battery voltage to see if the battery is just shot. Also is there a way to check and see if the changing port has broken contacts on the board? Any and all information will be greatly appreciated.
