Analog stick very tight after reassembly!

Hello all, I recently disassembled my PSP 1000, took apart the analog stick assembly, and the spring came out, very nasty situation. Anyways, got the spring back in, but the scrubbers back in with the stick horizontal and everything, stick was returning to center just fine, then I put the pcb on and and clamp, now it is tight as can be and it sticks in any direction I move it. Please help! I have double, triple checked my work and followed the seemingly only video on the reassembly of this assembly, I don’t know where I’m going wrong!

Hi!

Can you share a video with us, so we can check the result and see what is going on?

Did you tried to clean the joystick and see if that works? There should not be a spring inside the joystick it self, so where does this come from?

You could replace the joystick, but before you do that, let’s take a loot at where it goes wrong.

Thanks!
