What is the model number of the laptop as shown on the product information label on the bottom of the laptop?
Do you mean that the screen is damaged i.e physically split (cracked) down the middle or that the image is split?
Try connecting an external monitor to the laptop (TV to laptop's HDMI port?) and check if the display is OK and not flickering.
