I just replaced the screen, and image and touch problems

Just replaced the screen, back glass, frame, and battery.

I've run the diagnostics, and that runs fine. But when I'm operating the phone normally, swiping up (i hate the real estate taken up by the button options for home, back, etc).

It also seems like I received a display for a smaller phone put under the note 20 ultra glass (the corners are cut off, but screenshots show the processer is putting out the full image).

I am unable to update the TSP Firmware (via *#2663# [says FW update failed).

My fingers don't register when I try to swipe down the notifications/settings menu, it might be an issue of my fat fingers, but i didn't have this issue before the screen swap.

@jasonl46298 all of what you are telling us sounds so much like you are having some rigged display. At this point, I would cut my losses and replace the screen once more. This time get one from a reliable source. After you replace the screen, re-evaluate and let us know what you find out.

I have NEARLY the same issue.

My screen's the correct size..just thicker.

Everything else is the same as your issue. FW fail. No finger touch.

I figured out what the problem is. The TSP FW version doesn't match on the screen and the phone. The numbers for the phones touch screen FW are higher. So, I assume it's more recent. I've tried to search for instructions for downgrading the phones TSP FW, but no luck.

What's even worse... Mine started having ghost touch issues a few days after installing the new screen. I was annoyed enough with the idea of having to use the s pen to use the phone. Now I can't even use it at all, because it starts going nuts, tapping all over the place by itself.

It seems, a lot of people have had the same issue when replacing the screen. Not the ghost touch thing, but the lack of touch recognition. From what I've read, it started after an update. That leads me to think it should be possible to downgrade the firmware & it'd work. Too bad there's no info about how to do that anywhere.🙄
