PS2 fat disc tray wont fully open any more

I bought this PS2 at a sale, untested. Took it home and the disc drive ejected and closed with no issues, but had problems reading discs. So I took it apart and cleaned the laser and now the games work, but I cant get the disc tray to work again. The best I can do is get it to partially open. Below is a link to a quick video of the issue that is happening. I dont know if there is an issue with the tray, the motor or if I am not properly aligning the tray back onto the rails.

If this happens, then the tray isn't aligned correctly.

You need to play with it a little to get it working again. Nothing is broken or anything, you will get there eventually :).

The laser deck you moved (with the white slider), you might want to play with that a little. Please move it back (as you did before in the video) and then put the tray on and test again.
