How to change mains lead Hoover HL500HM

I want to change the mains lead on my Hoover HL500HM (Model HL5)...

But how to open the machine to fit the lead?

I'm an electrician and have fitted many vac leads previously, but this hoover is a real puzzle when it comes to disassembly..

Any advice would be very much appreciated!
