Repair guide and troubleshooting information for Apple wireless mouse with multi-touch support. Model number A1657 or A3204.

Cannot on - cannot detect device in bluetooth MacBook

My magic mouse 2 can't turn on (I think) even though it's been charged for a long time. And the MM2 can't be detected in the macbook pro bluetooth. Other devices are ok.

This problem occurs when I don't use the MM2 for a long time - 1 week or more (turn on) in the bag.

If your Magic Mouse 2 isn't turning on or being detected by your device, here are some troubleshooting steps to try:

1. Check the Power Switch

2. Restart Bluetooth

3. Check Bluetooth Connection

4. Try Pairing Again

5. Check for Interference

6. Test with Another Device

Ensure your Mac’s software is up to date by checking in System Preferences > Software Update.

Sometimes a software update might resolve Bluetooth connectivity issues.

If none of these steps work, it could be an issue with the mouse's hardware. In that case, you may need to contact Apple Support for a replacement or repair.
