dead digitizer after proximity sensor replacement

replaced a dead proximity sensor with a working one and for some reason the digitizer died, even though its flex cable looks fine and not ripped

what's even more funnier, is that it actually worked before replacing the sensor and after replacing it and then booting to system via recovery

right now it doesn't work, but it worked in the morning as I was able to dismiss several alarms

does anybody know what's the cause of the problem?
