Hi @dave24662
Please verify the make and model number of your phone?
Just to clarify that if it is a Siemens Gigaset C47H then this is not a satellite phone (phone used to make calls using satellites as the communications medium) but it is a cordless portable telephone, that wirelessly connects to a base station located in the same premises as the phone. The base station is connected to the telephone network via cables or via an internet connection that is connected to the premises.
Depending on how many phones (max. of 6) are connected to the base station, the phone will display INT1 (or INT2 ... INT6) indicating if it is registered with the base station.
If it doesn't show this then it isn't registered and therefore cannot make/receive calls.
Go to p.6-p.7 of the user manual to see how to register the phone
