Can I Buy a Screen Replacement For This Generic Tablet

I purchased a tablet off TikTok for my daughter for Christmas and 48 hours into owning it she broke the screen. I'm trying to replace it myself but I can't find a replacement screen anywhere. Should I store it in File 13?

Tablet Model: TB02

Screen Type: CX1093D FPC-V01

Hi Todd,

I understand the front screen is broken, but it appears on your tablet the LCD and the digitizer are separate parts. Is the picture on the screen intact and looking like it should? If that's the case you don't need a complete screen assembly, but rather you should be able to replace just the digitizer. Here's a picture showing the difference.

Can you elaborate and/or add pictures of the screen?

Adding images to an existing question

Lastly, as near as I can tell, there seem to be at least two different sizes of a tablet called a TB02; 7.0" and 10.1". Which one do you have?

I think it's the digitizer that is broken. Posting pictures now. The images shown up normal but the touch feature no longer works.

@dadibrokeit. I uploaded some pictures like you asked. Thanks!

@dr_todd_2015 Just a little FYI, if your touch screen isn't working, most phones and tablets will work with a computer mouse plugged in. You might try that and see if you can get into the Settings app to try and find some more specific manufacturer/model information.

Just to add to the above you may need an OTG adapter cable to connect the mouse to the tablet. This is so that the mouse gets power supplied by the tablet so it can operate

Not sure if OTG is supported in your tablet or not, so it may not work.

OTG=On the Go.

Hi @dr_todd_2015

Here's a digitizer for an XGody TB02 tablet. Not too many brands have a TB02 model so hope that this is the one you need. ;-)

I'd be careful with that digitizer; I saw several that said they were for that same tablet but the connectors didn't match up with Todd's. It may well be worth contacting the seller and verifying the part number as they suggest, but it's unfortunate that nowhere in the listing do they give the part number of their touch screen nor show the connector itself.

@dadibrokeit I messaged the seller already and he asked for pictures of my digitizer instead of showing me what his has. Now, he's failed to respond. It's looking like this is going to need to be filed in the garbage. Can't use the mouse since it was never connected via Bluetooth already. Won't make that mistake again.

@dr_todd_2015 When I mentioned using a mouse, I meant a wired mouse that you would plug into the USB port on the tablet. In my case I had to get a USB-A to USB-C adapter, but it worked fine.
