Repair guides, disassembly, and troubleshooting information for the second generation Sony PlayStation 5 DualSense controller. Identified by model number CFI-ZCT1W and motherboard model BDM-020.

X button sticks slightly

X button is harder to press and stays down for half a second, took it apart and cleaned it with isopropyl. Worked great until I used it for about an hour. Same problem, cleaned again. Working for now but I need a more permanent less time consuming solution.

Hi there!

Yeah, cleaning is basically the solution for this. However, if the issue remains after cleaning, then you might want to replace some components.

I would replace the “X” button and the rubber pad as well. Replacing those should deal with the sticky button right away.

Thanks I'll try that. What's a good brand/website for those components?
