Rubbing/screeching noise while agitating

Whenever my washer has a load in it it makes a intermittent rubbing sound, much like the sound of tires screeching on pavement, while agitating. I've run it empty and it doesn't do it. Trying to figure out what I need to look at and/or replace. I'm pretty handy so replacing something isn't an issue, just not so great at diagnostics.

Does it make any noise when spinning with a load?

It sounds like the tub is hitting another piece of metal. That might be a problem with the suspension rods.

Nope. When it's soinning it sounds fine. It's only when it's agitating.

Hi @jorgefernando

Check if the wash plate is OK. It may be worn and slipping on the drive shaft.

Here's a link that has a video (scroll down the page a bit), that shows how to remove it to check.

If the plate is worn search online for W10902814 to find suppliers that suit you best. (examples only)
