The best way to remove the remaining battery adhesive

My Dear Community!

I successfully managed to remove the battery for an iPhone 11 that I am currently refurbishing and saving. My only problem is that after the battery removal there is still very very strong glue on the metal area that I tried to scrap off with my spudger for almost 2 hours and using 99% isopropyl alcohol but I don’t know what am I doing wrong.

Should I keep it soaking in the alcohol and after use the spudger or should I use a different chemical?

Thank you very much for your response!

Have you tried heating it a little with a heat gun on lowest settings?

Hi there @dinoo_fixit !

I did not try heating it but what I realised is that I didn’t leave the glue in alcohol for too long. The next day the whole area where the battery adhesive was dry and it became easier to scrap it off.

@mrkovacs I'm glad it worked :)
