MacBook air keyboard backligt issue

"My MacBook's backlight isn't working. It doesn't show up in the settings, and when I try to adjust it on the top bar, the brightness drops back to 0 even when I set it to 100%. The keyboard shortcut isn't functioning either. I've already tried replacing the keyboard, backlight, and the flex cable. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to try next

If the function key controls aren’t working you have a deeper logic board issue within the backlight logic. This is repairable but the tech needs to have good micro soldering skills as unlike the Pro’s this logic board is very densely packed.

@joakimlund14635 the main issue here seems to be that the keyboard backlight does not work and control fails. If so, I would check the logic board for a damaged or even missing resistor for the Keyboard backlight PWM. That would explain why you can't control the backlight. It is located on the top side of the logic board. Post some picture of your board with your Question.

Well you can try the following:

  1. Deactivation of automatic backlight turning off.
  2. Checking the light sensor.
  3. Increasing the time to turn off the backlight after inactivity.
  4. Disabling low power mode.
  5. Restarting your MacBook.
  6. Reset CMS/NVRAM.
