Actually, your phone has an OLED display, which means it's based on LED technology, not LCD. Therefore it doesn't have a backlight, as each pixel generates its own light.
So what you're looking at is a bad screen, regardless of the fact that it's new. Did you do the screen replacement yourself? If so, I'd suggest opening it back up and verifying the display connector is fully seated with no bent, broken or missing pins. Check them with a magnifying glass then clean both sides with 90% or higher concentration isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol, give it a minute to dry then carefully reseat the connector. You don't need to completely reassemble it before testing it.
If you still have the original screen and it's at least partially functional, try plugging that one in to verify whether your replacement is bad or not.
If you didn't install the new screen yourself, it's time to go back to whoever did and get them to fix the issue.
