I think it's either because the switch has been pressed too many times and now requires more pressure to activate, or the plastic piece that the basket presses on is worn down and doesn't apply the same amount of pressure on the switch. I had the same problem and found that the safety switch, which ensures the basket is inside before turning on the unit, needs to be pressed deeply to activate.

You could probably buy a new switch or I 3D-printed the plastic piece to be longer so it can press the switch more deeply, and now it works.

Hi Jake. A 3D recreation of the plastic piece is exactly what I need. I already had the issue of the switch needing to be pressed harder. But I found the switch online, bought one, and replaced it. However the plastic piece has worn down and it needs replacing. I can't find it anywhere. A 3d recreation is a smart idea on your part. Well done! I see the 3D print file you posted which is much appreciated and thank you for sharing. I know nothing about 3D printers. I'll have to take a crash course on it and then find someone with one of them. Lol. Thanks again for the post and the file sharing.

There is probably a switch or some form of a sensor that detects the basket. This will probably be broken or be misaligned

That's exactly it Brent. It happened to me as well. I bought a new switch and replaced it. Good as new! Thank you for your post.
