I think it's either because the switch has been pressed too many times and now requires more pressure to activate, or the plastic piece that the basket presses on is worn down and doesn't apply the same amount of pressure on the switch. I had the same problem and found that the safety switch, which ensures the basket is inside before turning on the unit, needs to be pressed deeply to activate. I 3D-printed the plastic piece to be longer so it can press the switch more deeply, and now it works.

You could probably buy a new switch or I 3D-printed the plastic piece to be longer so it can press the switch more deeply, and now it works.
