Repair, disassembly, and troubleshooting information for the Microsoft Surface Pro 11. The device was released in June of 2024 with model number 2076.

What else do I need to change the case?

I have the Lower Case in my cart, but I am unsure what else i need to purchase from ifixit to put the surface back together?

Also do you really need (Ruck Plates of 9 kg + 9 kg + 14 kg ) like the microsoft document says?

Hi @greel

If you're replacing the LCD panel then to ensure that it bonds correctly with the frame enclosure, you need the ruck weights distributed as shown in the service manual (see p.35→p.36) to make sure that does.

Alternatively you can use a Shot bag filled with steel shot, not sand, to ensure proper weight displacement. Using this is also shown in the manual, on the same pages.

Surface Pro 11 OLED Lower Case - Genuine

Im just replacing the case. I was assuming i could reuse the screen. Do i need a new screen too?

@greel

The part you linked looks like the lower case only i.e. where the motherboard is located and not the lid cover where the display is.

As for whether you need a new screen would depend on if the display works now or not.
