Second generation of iPhone. Model A1241 / 8 or 16 GB capacity / black or white plastic back. Repair is more straightforward than the first iPhone. requires screwdrivers, prying, and suction tools.

Back house replacement, little metallic part, what is it?

So basically I'm replacing my back housing and there's one little metallic part that you put above a screw that none of the guides mention. Anyone know what it is? It's basically a small metallic thing sticking out and it's supposed to be under a screw, but where?

Thanks

Is it the piece of metal that sits over the camera?

Hi,

I found the same little piece on desk after I finished to re-assembly my iPhone ;-)

I think we're talking about the same part.

I was watching this disassembly iPhone video on yuotube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8fF0DF-mb..., when at time 3.40 I realised that piece was the one that holds the camera on case with a screw.

I hope to have been useful!

Bye
