Laptop breaking in the union between screen and keyboard.

I have had my laptop for 6 years and very recently it started breaking in the union (hinge?) between the screen and the keyboard. If I try to open or close the laptop it forces the plastic in the union and lifts the bottom corners of the screen cover. Tiny pieces of plastic, which I think are the multiple joints that go inside the union, have broken and fallen out, so it looks like the screen is only supported by the two bigger joints at the edges. The laptop works perfectly outside of this, and if I don't move the screen it doesn't feel like it's being forced. Is this something worth repairing?

Basically, the plastic housing has fatigued. Depending on the construction the parts might be replaceable.

Review this guide Lenovo IdeaPad 330 Screen Replacement Guide to disassemble the system to inspect what parts are damaged. Then you’ll need to then see what you can find. You might find a junker to salvage the parts or see what’s available from Lenovo.

@julioorteg60184 you will have to check where the hinges binds, If it is on the palm rest you will have to replace that as well. If it is on the rear cover of the display, you will have to replace that. I would also check the hinges for proper function. If the hinges are binding and you need extra force to open it, it may just cause the damage on new parts as well. Use the Lenovo Ideapad 330 Hardware Maintenance Manual to work on it. It does have the screw chart as well as a parts list which will help you with locating replacement parts.
