Parts of iPhone X screen not working

I have replaced my iPhone X screen with an ifixit screen replacement I ordered. I have attached a video showing my issue. The top and middle portions of the screen don’t work. I initially thought this may be a bad screen. However, the whole screen seems to work when tapping to wake as you can see. Is this a calibration issue? Any ideas? Baby rocker in background lol

Hi,

The touchscreen is on a different cable as the OLED. So a rip in the touch cable could be what's causing this. Otherwise the screen may be faulty. Have you filed a return with iFixit yet? if you can prove that no cable got ripped during the repair they might send you a replacement screen.

You can always try to clean the cable contacts and reseat the cables, a piece of dust inside the connector could also be the cause.
