GGeorge, there are way too many hearing aids on the market for us to be able to answer your question without knowing more. Specifically what we need is the manufacturer and model number of your hearing aids; otherwise we can't even guess as to what to tell you.

At a minimum, adding photos of your hearing aids might help, but the make and model would be far better.

My hearing aids are Phonak Audeo M70-RT.

Behind the ear type.

I have been looking at this as a UK first time user of HA. My audiologist assure me this is feasible and the BTE (behind the ear) models follow a similar a patten. At over £4,000 a pair I do not look forward to dumping them every 18 months when the batteries fail. Starkey and Oticon are almost identical except the label and the charger shape.

Called Oticon technical support. Their answer is, return them via the audiologist for battery replacement by the manufacturer; cost unknown.

If it is less than 3 years old, it should be covered under warranty. If it is not a new Oticon Intent - and it isn't because it doesn't look like mine - only Oticon can change it. Most others can be changed by your audiologist. It requires the right battery and a very tiny pin tool to push the pins out that hold it together. I have no idea where either might be obtained.

If your hearing aids are made like the ones in the picture it will be alot more trouble to replace them yourself. Take them back to where you got them and ask.

I have added a picture of the hearing aid that I posted my question about.
