Headphones not working on PS5 but perfectly in PC

After a thousend researches, in foruns, youtube and channels I come here to explain that my headephone is not working in a specific Dualsense in PS5.

I have three Dualsense, in two of these it works fine, but in the last one, isn't.

So, verifying that the headphone works, I connected the controller in my computer with the cable, surprise, the same "faulty headphone" works great.

Returning at the PS5, I realized that the indicator of a recognized headphone isnt showing in configuration -> sound -> audio output.

I have tried:

  1. Reset the controller
  2. Connect with cable
  3. Find all configurations of audio output in PS5
  4. Confirmed the headset is working
  5. Cleaned up the audio jack with cotton and 90% isopropil alcool
  6. Tested with others headsets

Someone can help me with this or have ever been in this situation?

Hi!

Okay. Do you still have warranty on it? If yes, then return and get yourself a new one. If not, Most likely the headphone port is pobably broken and need to be replaced!

Those parts usually cost around 1$. It’s worth a try!

If you need a guide, please let me know!

Hello! No, unfortunately I have no warranty on it.

I think this is strange, work on PC but not in PS5, but I have the jack already to replace, I tried all other methods before the replacement 😅

Oh, if you have a guide I want it, thanks a lot!

So, on the PC the headphone jack works?? Are you sure that the controller is up to date? Otherwise replacing it should do the trick. Guide: https://youtu.be/U-5gnpOQkt0?si=FF04Itii...

My pleasure! Good luck with the repair!

UPDATE: I replaced the audio jack with a new one, but nothing changed, unfortunately, this is possible a motherboard problem.

Yes then it could be the IC on the motherboard unfortunate :(.. you can replace it, but won’t be easy..
