The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 is a 10.1-inch Android-based tablet computer and belongs to the second generation of the Samsung Galaxy Tab series.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 GT-P5113 STUCK on battery screen

Just as stated. The screen shows the battery and the "search bars" just sit there frozen with 1/2 partially lit. Like the "search bars" just froze mid "search" as they were going round and round.

Was stuck on "SAMSUNG Galaxy Tab 2 10.1" screen and when I powered it off it powered back on to the screen I described and as pictured.

No it won't go into recovery mode using the POWER and Vol - or + buttons. It is also no longer recognizable through USB on my computer so Odin and Kies is out of the question for now.

Anyone got a clue???

Hi @dabear20549

What indication is there on the screen when you just try to charge the battery?

Does it get to 100%. (even when on charge for a few hours)?

If not, perhaps the battery is failing (or has failed) and the tablet won't start on the battery or when connected to the charger as the charger can't do both i.e. charge the battery and operate the tablet at the same time.

If it is determined that the battery is the problem then here's the ifixit Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 Battery Replacement guide that may help.

All It does is EXACTLY like my photo shows. Just sits there with that battery logo frozen. I can get it to turn off apparently being I can get it to go to a black screen.

Testing the battery leads the battery has a charge of 3.7V

@dabear20549

What indication is there on the screen when you just try to charge the battery in the normal manner, you never said?

crwdns2934271:0crwdnd2934271:0crwdne2934271:0

I am assuming "normal manner" is plugging it in and charging it??? Exactly as I stated; I plug it in, this screen appears, and it stays there doing nothing.

If I hit the power button the pictured screen will disappear but just sits there on a black screen.

@dabear20549

Open the tablet and check what the battery voltage is.

Normal voltage is approx. 3.7V

As stated above the battery may have failed and that's why the image on the screen. It could be that if it has failed then the charger can't do both - charge the battery and operate the tablet mat the same time.

I opened the back of the tablet last week and the voltages read 3.11V on the two red wires going to/from the battery wiring harness. 3.47V when plugged in and the frozen battery screen is on.

Do you know what the blue wire is on the battery harness??

I'm sure I wasted my money but I have a battery already on it's way.
