Announced in November of 2012, the iPad mini was released and marketed as a miniature variant of the standard iPad.

Can I replace white LCD to black?

I am planning to replace the screen on my white iPad mini5.

At this time, I was hoping to replace the screen with a black one (I like black screens).

However, I am worried that it might affect the illuminance sensor, etc.

Is it safe to order a black one? Should I get a white one?

@tethteth since your iPad did come in white and black, you can replace the display to black. this will only be a cosmetic change, everything else will remain the same. you will not experience any differences. As always, make sure that you get the right display for the right model :-)
