The Dell Inspiron 7306 is a 2-in-1 manufactured by Dell. Specs: Inspiron 7306 2-in-1, 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1165G7 @ 2.80GHz Processor, 16 GB DDR4 RAM 512GB NVME SSD (not replaceable)

Motherboard Crashed after tech “attempted” to diagnose.

Long story short, my laptop was losing its charge. After getting it diagnosed, I was told it was at the end of its life. If it doesn’t turn on, is it still possible to retrieve its stored data? TIA

Hi @jalenahood, there are some ways you can try.

Ideally if the computer is able to boot up to windows,

I would suggest to check and backup bitlocker keys.

Based on the battery replacement guide, on step 5,

i can see the there is nvme ssd.

I tried a battery replacement. It no longer turns on. After the replacement it slowly lost its charge and plugging it in does nothing.

@jalena

try disconnecting the battery from the laptop and power on the laptop with just the power adapter.

does it works?
