Having grey screens on my headset

Hi!

I have had problems with my Index headset for a year. The lenses is only showing grey screens. I have asked Valve for help but do to the diagnoses I've run and sent in they sent me back to that it is not possible to send in my headset and get it reparied. But I ask to see if I can do anything myself to help me out about this problem. Everything else is working. Sound, the game is showing on my display on my computer, tracking works perfect. It's just the headset not showing anything but grey.

I had this issue A while back, here's what you can try

  1. Install chipset drivers for your motherboard
  2. roll back your drivers from device manager
  3. try installing your graphics card drivers without GeForce experience
  4. disable any suspend or power management for usb
  5. update windows

If those don't work its probably a tracking issue

  1. do your base stations have a clear view of your headset?
  2. do your base stations have a green light on both?
  3. do you get any error codes in steam vr?
  4. are your base stations on the right channels? (b and c)
  5. when was the last time it worked?
