How to use ch341a programmer to flash EFI
Hello there. I've a macbook pro retina mid 2014 and at the moment I have a firmware lock problem. I've bought a ch341a programmer on amazon to try flash the EFI and remov the password but I've noticed that the SOIP8 clip will be unable to attache on the chip. I'm not sure if this is because the clip is damnaged or if because this clip can't be used with my series of macbook, is there anyone that can help me or explain if this is possible with the equipped EFI chip on this model?
Thank you

I would contact the seller to double check if you got the correct part.

so it's possible to use the clip on this soldered chip?

@ziobru - I have no idea what you got here for a tool, and that’s not how I would go about it. Which is why you need to talk with the people who sold you the tool and maybe the person who made the tool.

@ziobru on the one I have, it is necessary to place the IC in the programmer. I can't connect to in-circuit IC's with that one. Let's see what your programmer looks like Adding images to an existing question
