My motherboard runs only when I press on it
When I press around here on the motherboard it runs, when I let go it freezes. Any ideas on what components are here or what I should look for damage?

Hi!
Where do you need to press on the motherboard so that it works?
Could be that an IC is failing or is getting loose from the motherboard. Please inspect the area where you need to press.
Then try a reflow and see if it works, if it does then the component does come from the motherboard. Please check if a reflow helped, otherwise you do need to reball (this process is really difficult, but it should solve the issue).
Otherwise replacing the motherboard will fix it, but is expensive.

possibly also could be a broken trace. an ic is an integrated circuit...a chip. what is being suggested is that one of the solder points has become broken under the chip. a reflow with a hot air station and some flux will solve that problem. it is not recommended for beginners. a local shop could do this relatively cheaply, but may not resolve the issue if that isnt what the cause is. reach out to a repair shop if you dont have the tools or knowledge and just see what they say for a diagnostic.
