My ps4 controller is driving me crazy

hi guys my ps4 controller is driving me crazy

when i click on the ps button it doesn't turn on and nothing happens.

when it is plugged into the console it charges and flashes orange.

i tested it with ds4 on my pc.. all the buttons work including the ps button and the controller works perfectly.

the battery is also charged.

i also tried resetting it..

please help

Hello, how long have you had the controler? Have you ever replaced the battery? Typically the Lithium-ion batteries in these normally last a few years or so.

Yes, just like Jacob said, it does look like that the battery died and need a replacement.

While it's saying that it is charging, doesn't mean it can hold a charge.

I would replace this one first and see how that goes!

So, when you have the cable in the controller, the controller works completely fine, right? This most of the time is the battery. Can you try with a complete new battery? Otherwise it is motherboard related. It could also be a faulty LED/USB board or the ribbon cable. (or connected the wrong way). Please replace that one next if you are sure that the battery is fine.
