Do Faulty Charging Board/Port Prevent iPhone from Switching On?

Woke up this morning with Iphone showing me black screen. Tried DFU method unsuccessful. Sent to local technician and he told me the root cause was my Iphone's faulty charging board. Can a faulty charging board prevent user from switching on or entering DFU mode although battery is fully charged? Any experience or answer will be very much appreciated.

Edit: This happened after 4 days of updating to IOS18

you can rule it out by disconnecting the charge port flex to check if it turns on, if not then its doubtful its the charging port
