How to Remove the Back Cover/Film Door?

I attempting to modify this Pentax however it would require removing the Back Cover/Film Door to place a 3D printed back.

Is there a way to easily remove the Back Cover without fully disassembling the camera?

Yes, the back hinge can be removed by carefully peeling back the leatherette exposing the screws which hold it and the back cover onto the body. Do to age, the covering will be brittle. A good substitute is suede leather, I’ve used elbow patches for the needed material.

Specifically, you want to peel the front leatherette. The edge by the door hinge. Some isopropyl alcohol can be used to soften the adhesive. In my experience, Spotmatic leatherette is pretty robust and rarely needs replacing, but you never know.
