How to keep upper screen ribbon cable from falling out

So I fixed my upper New 3ds XL screen, and after doing the whole shebang of getting the cables back through the hinge, the upper screen (or at least the middle cable that's sandwiched between the two other cables) won't stay it the locked position. I'll get it in there, lock it, and it'll fall out once I try putting the other ribbon cables in their respective places.

Hi! Can you show some pictures or a video about this? Then we can check where it goes wrong. Thanks!

@dan0 yes, I can provide pictures! [image|3440172] [image|3440173] [image|3440174]

I hope this is enough, I took pictures of the ribbon cable without the third cable behind it, and then a photo WITH the third cable behind it and then a photo of the board.

For clarification I'm trying to put the cable being held by tweezers into the uppermost cable holder thingy

Hi! Hmm, the cables do look fine and should be in the right position! This is strange. Is there room to try another cable in the connector? Just to test if the cable want to sit in there! Otherwise you do need to replace the connector as there is something wrong with the locking mechanism.
