Samsung UN65TU8000FXZA New backlights install but still not working

Hi I have a issue and I really need help I replace backlight in a samsung UN65TU8000FXZA after installing the new light I test all with my backlight tester all work fine. After putting the tv back and plugging it in the backlight is not powering on.The powerboard is working because I'm getting power about 280v for the backlight. So my question is what could be the problem could it be the white connection between the powerboard and the lights. I forgot to mention I test the backlight using my backlight tester and the backlight work. I have some needle leads to my backlight tester so that's how I was able to test inside white connections.

Thanks everyone but I open the tv up and no power was getting to the backlight so I solder the wires directly to the powerboard. The tv is now working

@bad82122 you got the right voltage on your power board and it looks like you measured it right at the connector. That is very odd since they should come one. You have not told us what the original issue was and how you determined that it was your backlights that failed. Measure the voltages on the connector where the mainboard connects to the power board. You should have something like BL_on or similar. Let us know what that voltage is. You also want to try to actually turn your TV o with some video if you can. Connect your backlight tester to supply the backlight voltage and see if your video displays properly. I know it's a bit cumbersome with a panel that size but just do what you can without causing any damage etc.

Hi the original problem was the backlight I wasn't getting any backlight when I used my backlight tester. Now I have installed the new backlights I'm now getting backlight with my tester but not my powerboard. Usually samsung tv just need the powerboard just to power up the backlight why do I have to test the cable coming from the mainboard.

@bad82122 yup, I do know that Samsung just needs the power board for the backlight, but what tells the power boar to turn the backlights on. is the main board. Do this. Unplug your TV, unplug your mainboard from the power board, plug your TV back on. Now, your backlights should turn on without the mainboard. Do they turn on?

Yes I did that and no they didn't turn on only when I used my backlight tester they turn on

@bad82122 since these are new LED strips and I make the assumption that they were installed properly, that makes the power board your primary suspect. The backlights will have to come on with the main board connected since that will force the power board to supply the proper voltage needed for the backlights. you double checked with your LED backlight tester that every one of your LED's turns on? Again, if yes then the issue is your power board (assuming the installation has been successful completed)
